Thomas Farms Grass Fed Ground Beef

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 pound Thomas Farms Ground Beef
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup canned diced tomatoes (drained)
  • 1/2 cup canned green chilies (mild or hot, depending on your preference)
  • 1 pound sliced American cheese
  • ½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese or Mexican cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh cilantro, sliced green onions, or diced tomatoes for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef along with the spices and cook until the beef is brown and crumbled. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  2. Drain off excess grease. Reduce heat to medium and add the diced tomatoes, green chilies and American cheese. Stir constantly until the cheese is melted.
  3. Add in the Monterey Jack cheese and salt and pepper. Stir until melted and combined.
  4. Mix in the ground beef. Turn off the heat, add your garnishes and serve immediately with tortilla chips
