Thomas Farms Tenderloin Steak

  • 2 Thomas Farms Filet Mignon steaks
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped herbs - thyme, rosemary and parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

    Garlic Butter
  • 2-3 tablespoons softened butter 
  • 1 tablespoon chopped herbs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1-2 garlic cloves, minced

Instructions

  1. Allow the steak to come to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before cooking. Pat dry.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the garlic, olive oil, chopped herbs, salt and pepper. Rub the mixture over both sides of the steak.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a cast iron skillet for about 2 minutes over high heat.
  4. Once the oil is hot, add the steak to the hot pan and cook for 4 minutes. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium rare.
  5. While the steak is cooking, mix the garlic butter ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
  6. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes. Serve topped with garlic butter and your favorite sides such as risotto and asparagus.
