Thomas Farms Organic Grass Fed Ground Beef

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ yellow onion, diced
  • 1 pound Thomas Farms 93/7 Organic Grass Fed Ground Beef

Sauce

  • ¼ cup coconut aminos or soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ tablespoon ginger, minced or grated
  • ½ tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha

For thickening

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons cold water

For serving

  • Bib or butter lettuce leaves
  • Shredded carrots
  • Diced green onions
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook for a few minutes to soften.
  2. Add the ground beef and brown while crumbling. Meanwhile make the sauce by whisking all of the ingredients together in a measuring cup.
  3. Pour the sauce into the skillet and bring to a simmer for about 10 minutes. Mix the cornstarch and cold water together and then pour into the beef mixture.
  4. Stir and cook for another few minutes until the sauce has thickened. Turn off the heat.
  5. Place a spoonful of beef into each lettuce wrap. Top with shredded carrots, diced green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
