Thomas Farms Ground Beef

Thomas Farms Ground Beef

  • 1lb Thomas Farms Grass Fed Ground Beef
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced (about 1 cup)
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced (about 1 cup)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 package (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza crust
  • ¾ cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices deli provolone cheese, cut in half

Instructions

  1. Season the beef with salt and pepper. Cook the beef, onion, pepper, and garlic in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until the beef is well browned, stirring often.  Pour off any fat.
  2. Heat the oven to 400° Sprinkle a work surface with the flour.
  3. Unroll the pizza crust dough on the work surface. Cut the dough into 6 (5-inch) squares, then, with your hands, press each into a 6-inch square.  Layer about ½ cup beef mixture, 2 tablespoon Cheddar cheese and 2 half slices provolone cheese onto half of each dough square.  Fold the dough in half over the filling and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let the sandwiches cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before serving.

Try making these in your air-fryer!
Assemble the sandwiches as shown above and air-fry at 375°F. to 380°F. for 10 minutes or until golden brown, turning the sandwiches over halfway through the cooking time.

Sprinkle with flavorful toppings before baking!  We like sesame seed or everything bagel seasoning, just make sure to brush the filled dough pockets with water before sprinkling on the toppings.
